Membership Sales and Services – Part Time

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Duties related to selling YMCA memberships and providing after sales service to our valued members.
  • Conducting facility tours and orienting members to the facilities
  • Following up on sales leads from guest passes, day passes and online prospects
  • Additional competencies include, effective communication and problem solving skills, cash handling , and administrative tasks such as working with spreadsheets, using a multi-line telephone system, and using CRM software to manage client accounts
  • Membership staff are accountable for ensuring that members are provided a safe and inclusive space
  • Membership staff are the face of our organization, they must be knowledgeable with regards to all YMCA programs and services and use sales techniques to encourage participation, and drive the growth of our organization

Availability Requirements:

  • One position with daytime availability and one with evening and weekend availability is required.
  • The YMCA of Regina Operates between 5:30am – 10pm during the week and 7am to 7pm on weekends. Holiday hours are 9am to 5pm.

Job Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to qualified candidates who have previous sales experience
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR/ AED (Level C) or be working toward certification.
  • Experience working with the public in a fast paced environment
  • Criminal Record Check (CRC), prior to first day and dated within 3 months of hire
  • Three (3) professional references

Health Program Coordinator – 1 year term

The YMCA of Regina is an accredited non-profit charity that is open to all, dedicated to building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. As the premiere values-based builder of health, leadership, and personal development, we focus our program delivery on our three pillars of service: health and fitness, community development, and childcare.

The Health Program Coordinator will oversee a range of specialized health and wellness programs at the facility, including a large research project for pre-diabetic persons called Small Steps for Big Changes. In addition, this role will develop and introduce diverse programs such as cardiac rehabilitation, fitness programming for persons with disabilities, and programs for seniors. These programs will be both internally and externally operated with the goal of reaching the broader Regina community outside of the center. This role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a passion for health and wellness. Training will be provided for the pre-diabetic research project and this work will encompass a large portion of the role, however the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple health programs concurrently.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of a large-scale pre-diabetes health research project, Small Steps for Big Changes, in collaboration with UBC. This includes participant recruitment/screening, data collection, and liaising with researchers to track outcomes (training will be provided).
  • Oversee and manage specialized health programs, programs may include items such as:
    • Cardiac rehabilitation for patients recovering from heart-related issues.
    • Fitness classes for visually impaired clients or those with varied physical abilities
    • Senior wellness programs focused on physical and mental health.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate fitness and wellness programs tailored to various specialized health populations, ensuring they meet the unique needs of participants.
  • Collaborate with fitness trainers, medical professionals, and other staff to ensure the smooth delivery of programs and high-quality care.
  • Build strong relationships with program participants, local health organizations, and external partners to promote the programs and grow participation.
  • Maintain detailed records for all programs, ensure compliance with health regulations, and report on program outcomes to leadership.
  • Provide educational resources and support to clients, helping them navigate their health journeys, including managing chronic conditions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in health program coordination.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Willingness to undergo training related to specific health population needs.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and programs concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with health programming for specialized health populations (pre-diabetic, cardiovascular patients, individuals with physical restrictions/impairment)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, programs may run outside of typical business hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Criminal Record Check prior to first day of work and dated no more than 3 months before hire date.
