Creating a vibrant, healthy community is not something we can do alone. By giving today, you can help us be flexible and responsive to the ever-changing needs of our community.
Supporting the YMCA means supporting your neighbours – individuals, children and families in our community, across all generations regardless of their means and abilities.
Whatever the needs, the YMCA is committed to improving the lives of the children and their families in our communities by providing safe places, caring and trained staff, and programs that teach life skills. Your generous donation will help us to ensure people of all ages are healthier and more productive regardless of their background or financial situation. Some of the things we have done with your support this year are:
Assisted Memberships
Through our assisted membership program, the YMCA of Regina gives individuals and families facing financial challenges access to our facilities and programs for a reduced rate. By removing this barrier to participation, we empower people to participate in and feel connected to their community. In 2021/2022 435 assisted memberships were provided to individuals and families.
Youth Leadership
YMCA of Regina delivers a collection of programs in Regina and Moose Jaw to support youth in building themselves up to be stronger and healthier. By creating a safe space to ask questions, practice decision-making and challenge themselves we set our youth up to succeed when they meet challenges in the real world. In 2021/2022, there was 72 youth registered in the YMCA Leadership Academy and 14 youth were partnered with a 1:1 mentor; 139 youth participated in the Moose Jaw Shared Services mentorship programs; and we were able to run Beyond the Bell at two Regina Community Schools.
Accessibility
Making sure that our facilities are well maintained, safe and accessible ensures that we are able to serve the community to the best of our ability and create a space where everyone can belong. Thanks to the Community Investment Grant program, the City of Regina helped fund the critical upgrades in our pool facility at Northwest YMCA facility. We installed new automatic doors for easier access to the pool deck, and a new motorized lift to assist those facing mobility challenges when they wish to use the pool will be installed very soon!
There are children, young adults, families, and seniors in every community who, with your help, will be healthier today and more productive tomorrow. Everyone deserves a chance to realize their full potential.
By giving today, you can help build a better community for the future
Other ways you can make a difference…
Giving a one-time gift online isn’t the only way to ensure that your support gets to the people who need it most.
If you would rather, we would love to speak with you on the phone about how you can help.
You can call Jocelyn Anderson at 306-559-3728 to discuss the impact of your potential gift.
Monthly Giving
Not everyone is able to give a significant, one-time donation, but we know that doesn’t mean you aren’t as committed to building a healthy community as we are. By giving as little as $15 a month through our monthly giving program, you can prioritize both your community AND your budget.
Alternately, YMCA members are invited to speak with one of our front desk staff about how you can round up your membership with a recurring donation.
Donating Securities
Instead of cashing out your investments in order to make a gift, consider donating them directly. You will avoid loosing any of the value of your securities or mutual funds to capital gains tax, which ensures that the full gift amount makes it to the people who need it most and you also maximize your charitable tax credit.
Donate Cryptocurrency
Or, if you would prefer, we would be happy to accept donations by mail. Please make cheques payable to YMCA of Regina.

The YMCA has a long history in Regina and Moose Jaw of community building and supporting vulnerable populations. We have been an important institution in the social fabric of our neighbourhoods for over 100 years. With your help, we can ensure that the YMCA of Regina is around to continue its mission of supporting those who need it most for another 100 years.
The YMCA of Regina Endowment Fund was established to provide long-term sustainable funding to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. Funds are held in perpetuity and the earnings derived from these investments provides future income for the YMCA of Regina.
