Director of Fitness & Membership (Moose Jaw)

We are looking for an enthusiastic & experienced Director of Fitness & Membership to manage the daily operations of Membership Services & lead the development, execution, & oversight of all health & fitness programs at our new facility in Moose Jaw.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure alignment with Y Way service standards, oversee membership sign-ups, sales promotions, & reporting, & ensure smooth daily operations of the fitness center, including equipment maintenance & safety.
- Develop & meet sales goals for member growth & retention, & collaborate on membership sales & marketing strategies, including corporate membership expansion.
- Oversee Health & Wellness, Group Fitness programs, & volunteer engagement activities, ensuring certifications are up to date.
- Recruit, train, supervise, & schedule employees in Membership Services & Fitness
- Overall responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of all administrative functions of membership department including new membership sign-ups, sales promotions, failed payments, monthly reporting and cash reconciliation.
- Work closely with the GM of HFA and Membership to develop and implement annual membership sales and marketing calendar including adoption of Membership Growth Services campaigns.
Job Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in Kinesiology, Health Education, 3-5 years of experience in health and fitness programming & 2 years in management.
- Current CSEP-CPT, CanFitPro, or YMCA Personal Training certification is required.
- Current Group Fitness Certification (SPRA, CanFitPro, NASM, ACE, or YMCA group certification.
- Ability to handle medical emergencies, work evenings & weekends, & lead moderate to high-intensity fitness classes. Strong knowledge of fitness trends, safety protocols, & program development.
- Experience in hiring, training, and managing sales teams, coaching, & fostering a high-performance culture.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., ActiveNet) & scheduling platforms.
- Strong knowledge of fitness and wellness trends, safety protocols, and program development.
- Ability to lead a minimum of 1-hour moderate to high intensity fitness classes.
- Ability to lift & carry 40 lbs or more.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-Level C Certifications.
- Current criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Search
