UPDATED PROVINCIAL GUIDELINES – November 16th, 2020
As a result of these recent changes and through continued consultation with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, we have determined that a change in the delivery of drop-in basketball times is required. Effective Monday, November 16th, drop-in basketball times will be paused until a finalized delivery model of this service is determined. We apologize for this inconvenience and will communicate upcoming changes shorty.
UPDATED MASK POLICY – November 6th, 2020
With the Government of Saskatchewan’s recent announcement regarding mandatory mask usage in public places, the YMCA of Regina is implementing the following guidelines for all individuals.
These guidelines are in line with the public health order and must be followed by all individuals effective Friday, November 6th, 2020.
Starting on this date, all persons entering the YMCA must wear a mask. Children under the age of two are exempt from this policy.
While participating in physical and aquatic activities, you will not be required to wear a mask.
Areas where mask use will be required:
- Travelling to and from the locker room
- While in the locker room, and prior to and after using the shower facilities
- Travelling to and from different areas of the facility
- Travelling to and from classes throughout the facility
- When using the change room to go into our Aquatics, area prior to showering
We encourage you to bring a small zip-lock bag to store your mask in while exercising and using our aquatics area.
Our YMCA Staff will be reminding members that they must be wearing masks and that the YMCA will be cooperating with the public health order.
In following with the values of our organization’s guide on policy, decisions and behaviour, abusive or non-compliant behaviour towards our staff, will not be tolerated.
Any individual who does not have a mask will be provided with a complimentary disposable mask on a one-time basis, for their visit, until November 20th.
We sincerely thank you for your anticipated cooperation in helping our Association adhere to these guidelines while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
