The Board of Directors recommends that the following candidates be presented to the Association Members for election to the YMCA of Regina Board of Directors at the AGM on December 17, 2025.
We believe these candidates, each nominated for a three-year term, bring the necessary qualities and experiences to contribute significantly to the YMCA’s success and strategic direction.
Anita Adefuye
Anita is the Director of Communications on the Board of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) – Saskatchewan Regional Group. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration and is pursuing a PhD in Public Policy at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy.
Anita has significant community involvement, as she is the CEO and founder of Advanced and Fulfilled Coaching Company and the Founder of Peculiar Connect (a newcomer support organization).
Brandi Ottenbreit
Brandi is a Senior Performance Management & Financial Analyst for the Crown Investment Corporation. She holds a variety of designations, including: CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant), CMA Certified Management Accountant), and BRMP (Business Relationship Management Professional).
Additionally, Brandi has served as a Board Member with the Regina Open Door Society.

We believe these candidates, each nominated for re-election, bring the necessary qualities and experiences to continue supporting the YMCA’s success and strategic direction.
Nerusha Ragulan, MD FRCPC (3 year term)
Nerusha is an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. Nerusha will contribute to the newly formed People and Partnerships Committee. Nerusha has served on the YMCA of Regina Board of Directors for two years.
Andrew Konecsni (1 year term)
Andrew is a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) and Assurance Partner with HSA Chartered Professional Accountants. Andrew has made contributions as a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee. Andrew has served on the YMCA of Regina Board of Directors for two years.
Chris Johnson (1 year term)
Chris is a strategic leader with an MBA in sustainable value creation and more than 15 years of experience guiding organizations through business planning, governance and infrastructure challenges. His work spans public and private sector clients, including Crown corporations, Indigenous organizations, and public institutions. Chris has served on the YMCA of Regina Board of Directors for two years.
