The YMCA of Regina welcomes Vicki Siwic, CPA, CA, to the new position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective March 15, 2018.
Vicki will be responsible for the financial management of the YMCA of Regina, providing executive leadership in business planning, enterprise risk management, information technology, accounting, budgeting and forecasting. She will also ensure regulatory compliance and provide financial reporting and consultative expertise to internal and external stakeholders. Vicki will report to the CEO.
As a Chartered Professional Accountant, Vicki brings extensive experience in financial consulting and management roles to the YMCA of Regina. Most recently, she served as Finance Manager with AECOM, following eight years with KPMG, where she provided expertise to leading Saskatchewan organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, operating under a variety of accounting standards and practices— including Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profits (ASNPO).
This experience is backed by impeccable academic achievements and outstanding scholarship. Vicki is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), having earned the designation in 2012. In 2009, she was the graduating class valedictorian, completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with Great Distinction) in Finance and Accounting from McGill University. A year later, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy.
Vicki grew up in Regina and attended Dr. Martin LeBoldus High School. In 2005, she was awarded the Governor General’s Academic Medal for the top graduating high school student, and she was awarded several scholarships during her university studies. She is fluent in English, French, and Polish.
Vicki enjoys spending time with her family and contributing to the Polish community of Regina, currently as a director of the Polish Canadian Cultural Club. She is also an active member of the Professional Conduct Committee of CPA Saskatchewan.
